WHO
Nobody enjoys thinking about how they would investigate an accident, incident or near miss. Unfortunately, these things do happen and conducting a thorough accident investigation is vital to ensure history does not repeat itself.
ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Like most everything else, preparation and planning are key to ensuring an accident/near miss is promptly investigated and managed from the start to finish.
As a former MNOSHA Investigator, I’ve been involved with over a dozen fatality investigations and hundreds of serious injury investigations. The absence of a strong safety culture, lack of accountability and ineffective/lack of safety training were at the root of a vast majority of those incidents.
IN THIS WEBINAR, WE WILL:
Define the difference between incident and near miss
Discuss what to do at the scene of the accident
Discuss how to properly interview a witness
Discuss how to write an incident report
Look at real life incidents and outcomes
Identify root causes of accidents
Outline steps for implementing corrective measures
