Learn More About Running an Effective Safety Committee in our Free Webinar
Are you required to have a safety committee in your workplace? You may be required to have one due to regulatory compliance, number of employees or state guidelines. Even if you are not required to have a safety committee, establishing one is a critical step toward fostering a culture of safety.
Safety committees develop, implement and maintain effective safety programs by conducting regular safety audits and inspections, and promoting ongoing employee education and training on safety practices.
While some states do not require employers to establish safety committees, there are 14 states that require one at some or all workplaces in their jurisdictions.
In this FREE webinar, you will:
- Discuss why a safety committee matters and the benefits of having one.
- Recognize if your state requires a safety committee.
- Define how to establish a safety committee.
- Determine who needs to participate and the balance of management and labor in a safety committee.
